The Speros team is made up of many telephone, computer and surveillance system experts.  Speros team members have  years of experience in their chosen professions.  Speros has more combined industry knowledge, and more trained professionals than any area technology company. 



MANAGEMENT

Susan Speros | President/CEO
33 years
Susan Speros began her career in the technology business in Dayton, Ohio in 1978. 

She was the Customer Service Representative for Dayton Communications, a large interconnect telephone company. 

She specialized in systems training on Siemens PBX, I.T.T. PBX, Toshiba Key and Mitel.  Shortly after, she became a sales associate for the same company.  She excelled in sales in the Dayton and Cincinnati, Ohio marketplace and was soon recruited by an Atlanta telecommunications company to run their branch office in Savannah. 

She relocated to Savannah in March of 1982.  Susan incorporated and;started Speros in the State of Georgia in 1984. 

Speros continues to diversify and grow, keeping ahead of the industry.  Susan holds a State of Georgia Low Voltage Telecommunications License, Panasonic Digital Business Certification, Toshiba Telecommunications Certification, and a National Burglar and Fire Alarm Association Certification. 

Heather Radtke | Vice President
21 years
Heather Radtke graduated from Georgia Southern University in 1991 with a Bachelor of Business Administration. 

In 1990, she started part time with Speros working on marketing projects for her college classes and after graduation she became a full time Speros employee. 

Heather moved quickly through the ranks with Speros. 

Heather's first position was Customer Service Representative training the end users on the proper use of their new technology.  She was present for most cut-overs, and she observed many installations, this peaked her desire to learn the best possible practices for completing projects.  She learned every aspect of the installation process including blue prints, building codes, cabling, main distribution frames, dial tone and meeting project time schedules. 

She became very efficient and knowledgeable about how the hardware worked, how to install it and she moved into the sales field in the mid 1990's. 

Heather has been a million dollar producer for the Company over the last several years and is an asset to the success of Speros. 

She has been involved and helped to make all aspects of the technology we sell and service a big success. 

Jason Ryals | IT Manager
21 years
Jason Ryals has a passion for computers; they are his hobby and full time career. He has been actively involved in the IT business for 21 years. 

Jason started his hands-on IT career with a Savannah computer repair shop when he was still in middle school; he was resonsible for building PC's and troubleshooting Networks. 

As his experience in the IT field progressed he helped to support a computer network of 4,000 PC's in a local Savannah hospital.  He trained and studied about desktops and servers which led him to maintain a Unix based server.  Jason has since received his certification on the IBM AIX Unix based server system.  He has also received his certification on troubleshooting Local Area Networks and Wide Area Networks. 

He is versed in Windows Server 2008 and is a Microsoft Certifed IT Professional Enterprise Administrator.  He is certified on the installation and implementation of SonicWall appliances.  He is responsible for maintaining the daily operation of the Speros IT department including our Managed Service clients and the IT staff. 

Jason loves to share his knowledge and finds it very rewarding to mentor fellow employees and business owners. 

STAFF

Jeri Sasser | Sales Engineer
21 years
Jeri Sasser started with Speros in 1990.  She was first hired to fulfill the position of accounting, receivables,payables and payroll. 

With her expertise in computers and accounting she quickly became a key Speros asset.  She has a keen technical ability and understands technology; the equipment, supplies and parts required to engineer and implement the many projects Speros has installed through the years. 

She has taken the required technical and engineering sales courses provided by Toshiba, Adtran, SonicWall, Tigerpaw, Panasonic, Mitel and now acts as the Company sales engineer to prepare the documentations for our projects. 

Jeri is responsible for the daily Speros operations and keeps other employees on task.  She interacts with our clients and understands great customer service is responsible for our longevity. 

 

Marty Clagg | Senior Telephony Technician
17 years
Marty Clagg started his career in the telecommunications business in 1994.  Similar to most seasoned telephone system professionals he started in the field as a cable puller. 

This opportunity taught him all of the necessary inside and outside plant techniques required in our industry.  He is certified in the installation  of video and fiber optic cable as well. 

 Marty is manufacturer certified on Toshiba DK, CTX, CIX and Toshiba Stratagy Voice Mail Systems, and Panasonic Digital Business Systems,and is a certified ShoreTel IP Installer, ESI system installer.  Marty's extensive telephony knowledge is very keen and his abilities have earned him the title and reputation as a Senior Telephony Technician.  

Dwain Smith | Senior Telephony Technician

Dwain Smith, had worked in management for several years in the automotive business before making a career change into technology. 

In 2005, Dwain enrolled in the Convergent Telecommunications Program at East Central Technical College in Fitzgerald, Georgia.  During his time at East Central he became involved in the SkillsUSA program.  In 2006, he competed in the SkillsUSA National Conference and placed 1st in the telecommunications competition. 

Dwain joined the Speros team after graduating from East Central Technical College in March of 2007.  Dwain has quickly grown to be a valuable asset to the Speros technology team and was recently promoted to the position of Operations Manager. 


Janson McCreery | IT Technician
11 years
Janson McCreery's passion is computers.  Janson began his computer career at the bottom and has quickly advanced to the top. 

He received a Computer Information Science degree at Ogeechee Technical College and has never looked back.  Janson is a Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) and has his A+ certification. 

He specializes in computer virtualization, building and installing servers, firewall configurations, and wireless networks.  He is a perfectionist at heart and excels in computer network diagnostics, maintenance and troubleshooting.  



James Bell | IT Technician
10 years

James graduated from Ogeechee Technical College.  He attended Ogeechee Tech from 2004 to 2007.  He received 11 different diplomas in IT.  He specializes in desktop hardware design. 

Building custom PC’s has always been a passion.  James is a Microsoft Certified Professional and he has his A+ and Network+ certifications. 

James is active daily in the Speros computer department as well as the surveillance camera department.  James has been in the IT field for over 5 years.

 

 

Sue Martinez | Carrier Connectivity
31 years
Sue Martinez began her career in the telephone industry as a bilingual service representative with Southern Bell (later BellSouth) in Miami, Florida, but soon moved into the marketing department where she developed methods and procedures in emerging technology (SMARTRing, PRI Trunkside termination, BRI), she trained service consultants and handled large customers like Delta Airlines, United Parcel Service, Hewlett Packard and the Atlanta Public School System, 

Her responsibilities included designing local redundant self healing networks with access to multiple long distance carriers, creating procedures for customer control of network options, writing special assembly requests for tariff variances allowing technology to be applied in unique ways for special customer applications, and preparing documentation for tariff approval at the state and federal level annually for corporate licensing. 

Retired in 2000 from BellSouth, Sue traveled abroad for 3 years and operated her own catering business before returning to her first love about 4 years ago.  She is responsible for managing the network carrier orders for dial tone/long distance/internet/point to point circuits which provide the heartbeat of today's technology. 

 

 Michael Cooper | Speros IT Technician

Jay Hansbrough | Senior Telephony Engineer
33 years

Jay Hansbrough is the only certified ITT 501 installer in the City of Savannah and maybe even the State of Georgia.  Jay majored in telecommunications at San Mateo College.

Shortly after college he started installing and designing custom control circuit boards and high end residential alarm systems he did this for several years. He was recruited by Northern Telecom in 1977. 

Jay relocated to Washington DC and began his long career in telecommunications business installing Key and PBX telephone systems.  Jay secured a position with Tel-Plus Siemens as a Project Manager and Systems Engineer for the next 8 years in Canton, Ohio. 

Jay started his own business JAH Electronics in Canton,Ohio and successfully repaired and refurbished several different lines of telecommunications equipment for over 11 years. 

Continuing in the telecommunications business he started work for CCI/Warwick in Canton, Ohio as their Special Project Engineer for Data and Voice for the next 13 years before accepting his current position at Speros as our Senior Telephony Engineer.  Jay is manufacturer certified on over 30 different voice and data systems; he is a Certified Telephony Professional and has his A+ certification. 

Sandra Tribbett | Speros Sales Expert
26 years
Sandra Tribbett began in the telecommunications business after working in another industry.  She started her career with Speros in 1986 and after several years in the Savannah marketplace she relocated to Charleston, her home town, to work with another telecommunications company. 

After a few years in her home town she moved back to Savannah and resumed her position in sales with Speros.  Sandra excels in business telephone sales and now handles surveillance system sales as well as computer network consultation and sales. 

 

Barry Mason | Bookkeeper

Barry Mason began his career in retail working directly with clients, building relationships, sensing needs, while striving to maintain a positive customer-oriented attitude.  He joined the Speros team after spending several years in the banking industry providing financial management assistance to individuals through the recommendation and sale of bank products and services.  His knowledge and attention to detail provided a good fit in the areas of accounting and finance at Speros. His responsibilities include overseeing accounts payable, facilitating the Human Resources department, employee insurance, as well as payroll processing and all things financial. Barry graduated from Mercer University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing and is a native of Savannah. 

Barry has many years of experience in building and maintaining quality client relationships as well as mentoring, training, and developing others. He strives to be a team player with excellent organizational skills and an eye for detail. Barry values hard work and is dedicated to contributing to the growth and future development of Speros. His positive attitude and friendly personality along with his drive for producing quality work makes him a strong asset to the company. 


Van Heath | Speros IT Technician

Van Heath began his IT career in 2008 working for the Bulloch County School System in Statesboro, GA. He quickly advanced from school level technology liaison to district level project manager, and recently, Technology Support Specialist. While in this position, Van served as level II support for eight of sixteen schools, aiding school level IT personnel.
He received a BS in Computer Information Systems with a minor in IBM Enterprise Computing  from DeVry University in 2011 and a Networking Specialist degree from Ogeechee Technical College in 2006. He is currently working on a Masters in Computer Science from Georgia Southern University. Van is a Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST), Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), and is also A+ certified. He is currently a member of the Ogeechee Tech Advisory Committee, helping to keep the technical college curriculum and initiatives relevant to today's technology trends.
He specializes in desktop hardware and software support, Microsoft operating systems support, and database support.  Van is a through perfectionist and strives for customer service excellence.
